This is a post about the German Netflix. Nothing of interest for you. Keep scrolling.

Filmdschungel.

<![CDATA[Your Daily Dose of Drama]]>Fri, 13 Apr 2012 17:56:02 GMT alternative]]>http://dasepure.weebly.com/blog/your-daily-dose-of-dramaThat was an ad even I was surprised to see.
First of all I didn't know that I just stumbled upon an ad-video on YouTube. But when I realised, it was a good feeling, a wow-effect which was long abscent concerning advertising, I think.
By the way: TNT is a Turner Classic Movies company, and I wasn't aware it launched in Belgium. Well, obviously, it did (what reason could there be to settle this ad in Belgium?). But I got the feeling that TNT is present in other countries, too, because this ad is in English and not in Dutch, French or German (these three are Belgium's official languages). I recently perceived TNT in Germany (my homecountry) and found out that it has been started in 2006 (I just discovered TNT Germany because a good friend of mine doesn't stop talking about a TV series named "Game of Thrones" which TNT is running in their TV program - he's praising it on and on so I probably should risk a glance).

There was just another incidence that reminded me of advertising being fun. I'm pretty sorry that it was just a German competition: People tried to make a job in the advertising industry look cool and make people apply for an appropriate job. The slogan was something like "Get to Advertising" (in German: Komm in die Werbung). The competition (everyone was able to send in some ideas - the ideas reached from advertising text message to videos) was launched by W&V (Werben&Verkaufen // Advertising&Selling) and I think the guys have done a good job. <![CDATA[Invisible Mercedes]]>Sun, 25 Mar 2012 17:14:37 GMT Alternative]]>http://dasepure.weebly.com/blog/invisible-mercedes
"Instead of making it visible to everyone, we made it invisible to promote it."
Well, this is how you arouse attention today! Not the most creative campaign - especially because last year I heard from a company installing displays on the outside of the car to make it look as the driver wants it to. And because Mercedes already launched a "invisibility"-campaign before, just with invisible walls to advertise their cool new auto-break-system (not ABS). And the invisible git (hobo)..

But it works - and there is nothing wrong with being inspired by earlier ideas, is it?

..If it wouldn't have been for German rapper "Marteria", I wouldn't even have noticed the campaign - but in the end I did. The reason was the stolen music beat in the background of the video: A beat that Marteria already used in his song "Verstrahlt". It's not exactly the same, but enough for Marteria to institute proceedings against Mercedes..

<![CDATA[BMW Mini Coupé Ad]]>Fri, 23 Dec 2011 17:38:24 GMT Alternative]]> Print]]>http://dasepure.weebly.com/blog/bmw-mini-coup-ad
A few weeks ago, I was handed this brochure which advertises the new BMW Mini Coupé.
I saw the front cover and it looked good, but I didn't expect something great inside.
What shall I say? I was wrong !
_It contained a disc (the old, black ones, just a bit smaller) and a needle connected to a foldable cardboard.
The title said "Kratz die Kurve mit 45 RPM", translated "Scrap the bend with 45 rounds per minute" (it's a German saying, I don't expect you to understand it). So I folded the cardboard in a way that the needle was set on the disc and turned the disc.
Wow. A motorsound, then some industrial music. Sure, without bass and pretty quiet, but it was amazing.
Convince yourself of it, I recorded a video and posted it above this text. Watch it and enjoy the ideas of the advertising industry :)
Unnecessary fact: This is the first post I arranged in three posting categories.

Feel free to comment :)
<![CDATA[Axe 2012 - Noah's Ark]]>Mon, 20 Jun 2011 17:51:43 GMT Videos]]>http://dasepure.weebly.com/blog/axe-2012-noahs-arkIf 2012 provides the end of our earth, Unilever found a genius solution for this.
"Feliz fin del mundo": For the happy ending of the world.
In Spain (and probably in some other countries, too), Unilever rides a new commercial advertising their brand named Axe.

Intructions for your Do-it-yourself Happy ending:
First step: Build an Ark. Don't wonder; you should just shrug, or aren't you a M.A.N?
Second step: Get Axe 2012 and spray around your body few times. Let the flood of ladies conquer your ark.
Third step: Rock'n'Roll.

Sticking to the facts, this ad is well done with really cool computer generated content.
I still don't know why they put this twirl-scroll-curlicue typeface upon the deo can which has nothing to do with this ad or the 2012 end of the world scenario (does it?).
Axe's ads arrogate slightly sexist in their entire product range.
But there were ads where this sexist ideas had been hidden quite well (even if it's obvious, though), like in these three Axe-effect printed ads down below (source: ibelieveinadv)
<![CDATA[Telekom: Angry Birds Live]]>Mon, 13 Jun 2011 14:30:29 GMT Alternative]]>http://dasepure.weebly.com/blog/telekom-angry-birds-live
Look at this! Telekom again, after their crazy royal wedding was to be seen on TV ;).
Great idea, funny put into scene, but it doesn't look like it was really something everybody could access. To me, it looks a bit made up, a bit artificial, doesn't it? Plus, I don't really get what Angry Birds has got to do with sharing...
Funny, though, and it reminds me of a video I found earlier this year: "Angry Barrels".
Posted Angry Barrels down here.
The guys who made this Angry Barrels video deserve to be checked out on youtube by you, I think, they've got a lot more visually pimped videos on their channel, so here's the link to Corridor Digital.
